At WE’RE DIVINE Consulting, we believe adversity can be transformed into strength. We collaborate with professionals and partner agencies to integrate cultural and community strengths into existing programs—providing tools, curricula, and safe spaces that foster resilience, healing, and empowerment.
Partnering with professionals to preserve families, foster healing, and advance equity:
We do not provide direct services; instead, we equip professionals with strategies, training, and culturally responsive frameworks to strengthen families and communities.

Empowering Young Women (up to age 24) Sister to Sister is a transformative program model designed to support young women in reclaiming their voices and shaping their futures. Through mentorship, community support, and actionable strategies, we help agencies create safe spaces for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Our Philosophy: "If I can control my narrative, I can control my destiny. If I can control my destiny, I can choose my pathway. If I have choices, then I can re-narrate my life!"
Affirmations: I am worthy. I matter. I am a survivor. I am more than. I am DIVINE.

We design culturally reflective, healing-based curricula to support incarcerated parents and the professionals who support them. Our work addresses trauma recovery, behavioral patterns, and intergenerational adversity—helping families navigate renewal and resilience.
Focus Areas:
Trauma-Informed Reflection & Recovery Equip professionals with frameworks to guide youth and families through healing-centered reflection, addressing trauma symptoms while fostering resilience and long-term recovery.
Behavioral & Intergenerational Patterns Train practitioners to recognize how historical, racialized, and intergenerational trauma influences behavior, family dynamics, and community outcomes — and provide strategies to disrupt cycles of adversity.
Pathways to Renewal & Resilience Offer curriculum and coaching that help agencies design culturally responsive, equity-driven programs that empower families to rebuild trust, strengthen relationships, and sustain growth.
Impact on Children & Families
Through training and curriculum development, WE’RE DIVINE equips professionals to:

“I needed the old me to die, so I could then re-birth the new me!”

“I didn’t know how to address the questions my 3-year-old had about her dad being gone. She asked why he couldn’t come home, so I told her daddy is living in his special castle for a while. I know she wouldn’t understand his prison term.”

WE’RE DIVINE Consulting advances equity through curriculum design and public dialogue, partnering with agencies and professionals to meet the unique needs of their communities.
Conference Presentations: We deliver sessions at national and regional forums—including the Minnesota Association for Children’s Mental Health Conference (MACMH)—on topics such as Impact of Parental Incarceration and Honoring Every Child’s Story: Cultural Humility in Action. Each presentation is tailored to the audience, ensuring relevance and actionable strategies.
Curriculum Development: We author and adapt training programs to equip professionals and caregivers with practical tools. For example, our 10-hour, 5-unit self-paced program (80x3 Podcast: Supporting Young Children Through Parental Incarceration, Center for Inclusive Child Care) provides trauma-informed strategies for supporting children.
We also design and tailor curricula, workshops, and resources to align with the specific goals, challenges, and contexts of partner organizations.
Life Talks was facilitated by Kamyala Howard, Founder of We’re Divine in partnership with Children of Incarcerated Caregivers. Life Talks purpose was to create supportive spaces for African American community members to unpack experiences of racial biases with building a healthy sense of self.
